ICI / MAXXESS
ICI / Maxxess door controllers do not have on-board real-time clocks, meaning that they rely
entirely on the site computer to be left on and running in order to know the actual time. Although
in rare applications there was a device used called a RAMM (Remote Access Memory Module) that
if installed provided the clock in cases where the computer had gone off-line, simply
setting the computer's time and date correctly will be sufficient for most sites.
With the changes in 2007 regarding the dates DST changes occur, it is
critical for ICI / Maxxess sites to ensure their system accurately reflects
the DST date changes. Either the computer operating system can be updated
to allow the changes to occur on the correct time and date, or if this
is not possible settings must be changed to turn the DST automatic adjustment
feature off.
