For over 20 years, Fitch Surveillance has been a dealer for the original Intelligent Controls Inc.(ICI) product line.

ICI started as an independent manufacturer / developer in Lynnewood, Washington USA, owned by an expatriate Canadian from Montreal, Canada, Robert Percival. Involved with the RCMP at the time, Mr. Percival was instrumental in pushing "bar code" access card technology into the security industry, introducing it into the EXPO 67' Olympic games in Montreal in 1967. The bar code technology he created and named "Barlock" expanded over the years into a division called "ID Solutions" which sold card readers to third parties not necessarily involved with the rest of the ICI Access control systems they sold. The appeal of barcode readers greatly reduced throughout the 1990's and the company was sold in late 1997 to Odetics under the GYYR banner.

Gyyr later renamed the product, now known as MAXXess and sold the product to private investors. Today the line is remarkably intact and many needed improvements have been added. The Axxess 200 and Axxess 202 software lineup and BLP 200 series controllers are current and are completely supported by us.

Due to the limitations of hardware and software, the original PCACCPAK and Axxess100 software (both supporting DOS only), BLP60 and BLP100 controllers and the BARLOCK (barcode) readers and cards are now well past their life expectancy and should be upgraded.

We have had much success with this product line, have sold hundreds of systems and have many dozens of all above versions still in operation today. Presently we only support the servicing and expanding of existing systems unless the product is written into specification for a project. We have a complete inventory of replacement service parts, knowledgeable technicians on the product line on staff and we are pleased to support the product in its entirety. We also still support and produce Barlock barcode lamination products.
