New Installations After much consideration, Toronto Community Housing has awarded
Fitch Surveillance twelve Toronto Community Housing projects in various
locations to install closed circuit television systems consisting of
digital recorders and high-resolution colour cameras.
Fitch Surveillance has worked within tight time frames to complete the
projects, as T.C.H. considers these sites a high priority due to high
crime rates and vandalism in the surrounding area.
GE/Kalatel was chosen as the supplier for the digital video recorders.
New installation Tridel awards Fitch Surveillance the Humberwood Project, a two-tower,
452-suite condominium in Etobicoke. The project includes a full CCTV
system with digital recorders, a Verex fully-integrated suite security
intrusion and Access Control system, intercom duress system and touch
screen "no phone line" Enterphone Directories. A single Verex integrated
platform can control all aspects of building security. A single key
chain "fob" performs building entry functions, both regular door and
overhead door access. These fobs also perform monitored panic alarm
functions within the building.
Local News Ed Fitchett, President of Fitch Surveillance, enters his second term
serving on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Security Association
(CANASA) - Ontario Chapter.

System retrofit Fitch Surveillance completes the first Digitech wireless
Self Storage facility in Canada. The system uses Digitech's patented
receivers, using existing electrical cables to transmit signals along
with "outside the door" transmitters. The system allows for simple retrofits
in existing self storage facilities.
Over 700 transmitters were installed including CCTV with a Kalatel digital
recorder, offsite Internet viewing capabilities, Digitech's gate control,
and the Digigraphics Site Review package.
April 2004
New Installation Fitch Surveillance completes a major security installation
at a Toronto health care facility. Consisting of over 80 readers and
75 cameras spread over 10 facilities, the system is fully controlled
via one PC at one location. The video is stored locally on Panasonic
DVRs with 640GB drives. The access control system is a Keyscan installation.

Announcement Fitch Surveillance moves to its newly acquired facility of
12,500 sq. ft (1150 m2). The company was located for the
previous 13 years in a facility on Lawrence Ave. that was roughly 4000
sq. ft (375 m2). The new building is equipped with all modern
features and systems, and allows the opportunity to expand into a broader
marketplace. We would like to thank Keyscan, DSC, Kalatel and Honeywell
Security Products for their support.
February 2004
New Project Fitch Surveillance is awarded a fifth Tridel condominium
project in Toronto. Four previously completed projects included full

New Installation
Fitch Surveillance supplies and installs a complete access control and
Pan/Tilt CCTV system in Havergal College, the most prestigious girls
college in Toronto. The system involves protecting two separate facilities
from intrusion using a fiber-optic cable link, allowing both facilities
to operate as a single integrated system. Keyscan access controls were
chosen along with GE/Kalatel DVRs and Pelco Pan/tilt/zoom exterior cameras
tied into a newly installed central security station.
The work on these facilities involved carefully maintaining the heritage look and feel
of the "Old School" and the architecture of it that has existed for over a century,
while completely modernizing the facilities' security presence.
2001
Awards The Toronto Construction Association awarded Fitch Surveillance
the "Best of the Best" award. The award cites "outstanding contributions as a
subcontractor/supplier in making the (Osgoode Hall Retrofit and Heritage Conservation)
project a successful venture and worthy of industry recognition for excellence."
