Special Applications

Megapixel Cameras: High-resolution cameras are well-suited for situations when you need either a clear general overview of a broad scene or for high-detail applications such as facial recognition. This document includes a guide to determine if you need a hi-def or megapixel camera for a given role, and how high a resolution you will need to produce a clear and detailed image at any given range.

Thermal Cameras: Many cameras can operate in darkness with low-light amplification or with IR illumination. A thermal camera sees heat variations rather than just IR reflections, making it ideal for picking out an individual or a vehicle from the background, even in total darkness, deep shadow, or fog.
